The big TV news today: Fox's American Idol crushed the Olympics last night. It's no doubt a testament to the power of American Idol, but NBC's absolutely horrible coverage has no doubt helped things. Do you want to watch AI or the Camaroon luger? AI or two slalom runs and 11 commercials? AI or an inane human interest story? I like Bob Costas, the coverage itself has been wretched.
I also want to know: Who passed a law against showing American gold medalists before 10:00 p.m.?
