In human years, TDE is probably about 95 years old. I can substantiate that it was started by 2004, but I'm pretty sure I started it in 2002. In any event, I can honestly say that over the course of those 95 cyber years, TDE has only a few times (twice? three maybe?) asked readers to sign an online petition. I'm not a big fan of them (for what reasons, I'm not sure).

But I'm asking you to sign this one: Stop the Christian Genocide. Here's the link. Here's the explanation:

The stories of Christians across the Middle East are heart wrenching. Children ripped from their parents, barbaric torture, women and children raped and murdered...all because they believe in Jesus Christ.
It's time to call this what it is: Genocide.
CatholicVote has teamed up with the Knights of Columbus and In Defense of Christians to bring public awareness to the plight of Christians in the Middle East. And we are calling on Secretary of State John Kerry to formally declare this to be genocide.
So far 64,319 people have signed the letter. Can you help us reach our goal of 100,000 signatures? A big number like that will help attract much-needed media attention to this critical mission.
The White House has a deadline of March 17 on whether or not to officially declare what the Middle East Christians are facing is genocide.
