Miscellaneous Rambling

I was contributing to a community site, but was shut out for the fourth time in five months due to technical difficulties. It dawned on me that I rarely have technical troubles at TDE, but I've never acknowledged my web guy, so here's the shut out (loathsome phrase): Bizowie. Good Catholic company. Highly recommended.

Black history since the end of the Civil War fascinates me. I'm gonna watch this short documentary: A Thousand Midnights. It's about the Great Migration. "2015 marks the centennial of the beginning of the Great Migration, when six million African Americans relocated from the rural South to the cities of the North, Midwest, and West from 1915 to 1970." I still remember my Dad telling me about "Black Bottom," an area of Detroit white people stayed away from in the 1940s and 1950s.

The indoor garden is started: big containers with spinach, getting ready to go outdoors into a greenhouse after this winter blast finishes; cress and arugula in little plastic containers (originally contained raspberries from the grocery store), placed inside bigger plastic containers with lids.

Interesting: Demonic House in Indiana Demolished. The thing is, the house is in Gary. I thought everything in Gary is demonic. I've thought that since Lyman Bostock was killed there. I once had to attend a court hearing in Gary. Its downtown is no nicer than the view you get from the toll road or its reputation. I can scarcely fathom how a Gary, Indiana of Music Man note was ever even possible. No opinion about whether it's related to the documentary referenced above.
