Hunting Accident

Is anyone else baffled by all this coverage of the Cheney hunting accident? For crying out loud, I've known people shot in hunting accidents. It's tragic, it's unfortunate . . . but it's an accident. I'm not a big fan of the neo-con Cheney, but lighten up on him. I'm sure he feels like a complete schmuck already.

I suspect much of the press' fascination with this story comes from the fact that they've never been hunting, know very few hunters, and have never seen a hunting camp. Could you imagine the press' reaction if this accident had occurred in a Catholic church--another place as foreign to MSM journalists as a hunting camp.
