Miscellaneous Rambling

Ceiling. Trastevere

Sanders' free tuition program? It's a way to funnel even more money to the universities, of course, which overwhelmingly support the Democratic Party. That, I trust, everyone knows. But did you know it's also a way to funnel money into pensions? American Thinker breaks down the shame.

I agree with Russell Kirk that politics is for the quarter-educated, and because I pretentiously consider myself at least 3/8ths educated, I don't much care to follow the subject. So I guess it's no surprise that I hadn't heard of this Fox News contributor: Pat Caddell. He's a Democrat, but a highly critical one. Two things I saw from him while surfing this weekend really piqued my interest: The Hillary email scandal is worse that Watergate ("They were selling out the national interests of the United States directly to adversaries and others for money") and This is an Election about Insurgency ("[Caddell] is “outraged” by [the Republican] Congress's “latest version of the people are stupid. Let's have a vote on Obamacare we can send to his desk so he'll veto it. Knowing that that's going to happen, playing out this charade when they have just voted in December to fully fund every piece of Obamacare, to give the Unions a break on their high-value plans").

You might not want to eat in that restaurant specializing in Arab cuisine: "Police shot and killed a suspect after he attacked multiple people at a restaurant in northeast Columbus with a machete."

In case you missed it, the only funny Super Bowl commercial came under fire last week for being pro-life. The commercial, explains NARAL, commits the sin of "humanizing fetuses."

And here's something just in case you're, you know, in a good mood this Monday morning: Rogue 'Terminator' robots which can kill without human orders could become reality in just a few years.

So what is this little picture that now divides my ramblings? It's the ceiling of a church in Trastevere that I took with my phone in 2013. Unfortunately, I'm not 100% positive which church. I think it's Santa Cecilia, but I'm having a heck of a time confirming it.
