Welcome to the second-shortest day of the year (well, tied for second). \* \* \* \* \* \* \* I don't know if I'm embarrassed or proud that I did most of my Christmas gift buying at the liquor store. \* \* \* \* \* \* \* The IRS mileage rate is going down to 54 cents a mile. It's the first time since I started practicing law 25 years ago that it has gone down (as far as I can recall). \* \* \* \* \* \* \* The joke that is higher education again at display, [this time at uber-liberal Oberlin College](http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-12-19/most-liberal-us-college-unleashes-demands-deconstructing-white-supremacist-patriarch?ref=thedailyeudemon.com). \* \* \* \* \* \* \* Want those healthy hops without the drunkenness baggage?
