The garden books talk about how prolific zucchini is. Poppycock, I say. I've never gotten more than a handful of zucchini from a single plant. If you want a prolific plant, try cucumbers. This year, I planted three of each. The results so far? Four zucchini, forty cucumbers. No comparison. And the cucumber is rumored to do some amazing things.
