Miscellaneous Rambling
Do outdoor activities make a person tired? I've been outdoors a lot since the weather turned nice, and I've been unbelievably zonked out every night. But I still have some residuals from that terrible illness from two weeks ago, so maybe that's slowing me down. Oh well. The weather has been great. Colder stuff heading our way, but it doesn't look too terribly bad. * * * * * * * The garden is coming along: trays of cress, tray of arugula, lettuce, spinach. I've moved most of the stuff outside since I'm tired of looking at it in my living room. We'll see how they grow when the cold pinches them. * * * * * * * March Madness is also here. My favorite sports time of the year. I'll be watching the second round from Detroit, the location of my nephew's bachelor party. I don't know why/when bachelor parties became elaborate traveling affairs and I find the trend a bit obnoxious, but I've been wanting to get back to Greektown for quite awhile and I'll be with my son, brothers, and a good group of guys. I'm looking forward to it. * * * * * * * By the way, "Greektown" is a famous commercial district in Detroit, named for its Greek restaurants. It's not a euphemism for the infamous Greek vice. * * * * * * * I just wanted to clarify that. * * * * * * * If you like nature footage, this is pretty cool: ice jam breaks up.
