The basketball season comes to a close. It was a long year: four kids in four different leagues, including a varsity and junior varsity player. It was like holding down a part-time job. My son, Jack, averaged 20 points a game, was elected first-team all-conference, and was voted Player of the Week in two local publications and one regional publication. I try not to brag about my kids on TDE, but Jack worked hard on this particular sport and I thought his efforts over the past 15 years deserved one last accolade. I trust you understand.
