It turned up on the New York Times best-seller list almost immediately, appearing alongside Nineteen Eighty-Four, The Seven Storey Mountain, The Fountainhead, Cheaper by the Dozen, John P. Marquand's Point of No Return and Nancy Mitford's Love in a Cold Climate."
