Nassim Taleb came up with, then Tweeted, a set of New Year's resolutions. As with most of us his statemednts, they're enigmatic and meant to make you think. They've also spawned a lot of retweets and comments, especially this one: "Read no book you wouldn't reread."

Read no book you would not reread.

The common sense objection is, "How would I know if I would reread a book if I haven't already read it?"

The answers to this objection are many (starting with, "Don't take Taleb's statement too literally; perhaps interpret it as 'Read no book that, based on reviews and the cover and the author's previous works and the first chapter, you don't think you'd ever reread"), but I think Taleb, consistent with his practice of never reading a book that is less than five years old, would say, "People primarily re-read the classics. If a book isn't a classic, don't read it in the first place."
