# 8:00?

The media says the Rose Bowl will start at 8:00 tonight. What time will it really start? Lying about little things, after all, is the media's mode of operation ([see this piece of commentary I wrote for Catholic Exchange](http://www.catholicexchange.com/vm/index.asp?vm%5Fid=1&art%5Fid=30477&ref=thedailyeudemon.com)).

To be fair, the bowl games have mostly started on time this year. I suspect, though, that the BCS Championship/Granddaddy-of-them-All/USC's-Attempt-At-a-Repeat won't start until at least 8:30, the media's advertisement of 8:00 notwithstanding. Such false advertising isn't a big deal, of course, but it is fraudulent and ought to make us distrust the mainstream media in general.
