I'm not a believer that the surveillance state is out of control (maybe it is; I don't know), so I don't much like question 2, but the other questions need to asked. And once you realize the answer is, "No, this election won't change any of that," you realize the Republican celebrations last Wednesday are merely celebrations for politicians. For everyone else, it's just the same old same old.
