A Random Passage

Bill Kauffman, writing in his charming Dispatches from the Muckdog Gazette (2002), writes about the uncharming new sport: "[B]aseball has lost its hold on the younger generation, who are being led into the tedious hell that is soccer. Once the leathery symbol of British imperialism, this damnable sport is now the badge of submission to the Disney state."

"Badge of submission to the Disney state." Man, Kauffman is killer.
