I saw *Noah* last night. I give it a "6." Enjoyable enough, but certainly worth waiting for the rental.

And of this I'm convinced: All the "controversy" surrounding the movie was nothing but a PR stunt. The movie was simply silly. "Methuselah Meets the Transformers." If you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about. Suffice it to say: The movie was *loosely* based on the Book of Genesis, and that's about it (heck, [ *The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug* followed the book more closely](https://thedailyeudemon.com/30941/)).

The idea that Russell Crowe really wanted the Pope's approval on it, and the idea that Christians actually took offense at the movie, strikes me as absurd. I wouldn't expect the Pope to endorse *Noah* any more than I'd expect him to endorse *Gladiator*, and a Christian shouldn't take offense at Noah any more than a Christian would take offense at *Beavis and Butthead*.
