> The MTA begins its crackdown on bad behavior Monday with a series of new rules prohibiting everything from rollerblading on the subway to putting your feet up on an empty seat. . . .

> It will be a violation to:

> \* Jump turnstiles even if your MetroCard is not working properly.

> \* Straddle a bicycle, wear in-line skates, or ride a scooter or skateboard.

> \* Move between cars except when directed by a cop or conductor.

> \* Occupy more than one subway or bus seat, or put feet or bags on empty seats.

> \* Urinate in cars between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

> \* Cattle brand fellow passengers with a heated crack pipe.

All right, I made up those last two, but the rest of the story is a direct quote.
