Mean Big People
Maybe I'm just too Pelagian-ish, but it's hard to believe people like this actually exist:
The yellow brick road ended in guilty pleas yesterday in Brooklyn Supreme Court for a husband and wife who mercilessly harassed and abused their midget neighbors by hurling racial epithets at them and likening them to munchkins from Oz.
"It was a big hate crime," said diminutive neighbor Debra Shea of the abuse she and her daughter endured from the mean-spirited couple. "It would hurt anyone that short."
Husband Joseph Izzo pleaded guilty to a felony hate crime and must successfully complete an anger-management program or face up to three years in prison.
He admitted that in April, he spray-painted a yellow line up the sidewalk to Shea's house. When Shea and 3-foot-6 daughter Concelean Pegues came out the door, Izzo shouted, "Follow the yellow brick road!"
