H.I.F.

I've spent the last month looking at the long-term forecast on my iPhone apps. They're repeating the same pattern as last year: things look great in 10-15 days! And then as the days shrink, so does the optimism. The default weather app for the iPhone did that for *two months* last year, so I switched to the [Accuweather](http://www.accuweather.com/?ref=thedailyeudemon.com) app, and its meteorologists are now doing the same thing. The most recent bogus optimism: They predicted 60-degree, then 58-degree, temperatures on March 15th. This morning? They downgraded to 38 degrees. This, like I said, has been a pattern now for a few weeks, so I'm getting rid of Accuweather too.

Pursuant to a TDE reader recommendation last year, I'm not listening to anyone or anything except [the Chicago Weather Center blog](http://blog.chicagoweathercenter.com/?ref=thedailyeudemon.com) at this point. It doesn't push bogus optimism. It just lays it out like it is.

And this is what March is: horrible. And it's going to be horrible for a long, long time.

Put those seeds, golf clubs, boat motors, and good moods back in the closet. We're still a long way from good (or even halfway decent) weather.
