I guess I'm a little behind the curve: [B16 is coming out with his first encyclical in a few weeks](http://www.catholicnews.com/data/stories/cns/0506709.htm?ref=thedailyeudemon.com), a 46-page meditation titled *Deus Caritas Est* ("God Is Love"), which takes its inspiration from the first letter of St. John.
