H.I.F.

I think most people would agree that men built this country, mostly through hard work and risk-taking, self-sacrifice and toughness. [But as this article points out](http://newpittsburghcourieronline.com/2014/02/12/manhood-in-america-bit-by-bit-macho-stereotypes-lose-ground/?ref=thedailyeudemon.com), the landscape of the traditional man is shifting radically. From metrosexuals to *Brokeback Mountain*. Are we conceited enough to think we can make such a radical shift in our country's backbone without some terrible consequences? No doubt we are. But truth, I fear, will out.
