The Catholic Church continues to stand up for itself:
A Brazilian singer who promoted the use of condoms in an anti-AIDS campaign has been dropped from the lineup of next month's Christmas concert at the Vatican, organizers said Friday. . . .
The popular singer participated in a government campaign to fight AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases during this year's carnival celebrations in Brazil. Mercury appeared in TV ads promoting the distribution of millions of free condoms and encouraging people to use them.

The secularists chuckle, but they oughtta be nervous. The Catholic Church is showing more and more backbone. The Church either walks away from the fight or engages the fight, but it doesn't lose the fight. The Church gets bloodied at times, but it's always the one standing when the fight is over, as 2,000 years and hundreds of heresies attest.
