The Weekend Eudemon

The waters I wade for this blog! Right now, I'm sitting in a Starbucks, blogging with my new T-mobile account. Six bucks an hour, plus one of the blonde counter coffee experts is going to ask me to order something soon. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I'll probably get the green tea frappe, or some such thing. Five dollars a glass, I think. It's actually not a bad deal. The calorie-to-dollar ratio is 500-to-1. That's a lot of fat for your dollar.

The Starbucks sits in Grosse Pointe. Actually, five Starbucks sit in Grosse Pointe, which tells you a lot about Starbucks . . . and Grosse Pointe. For those unaware, GP is one of the old-money enclaves of America, home of the Fords, Art Van, and other well-to-dos.

This will be an abbreviated TDE, though I plan on logging on a little later today.

I hope everyone' s Thanksgiving weekend is going well. I've had a pleasurable one and had no reason to wade in the Black Friday waters yesterday. Just a lot of time with family.
