Tom Monahan wants to create Ave Maria Town (real name) in Florida. The WSJ, with good reason, calls it a Catholic Jonestown. Monahan's apparent hubris reminds me of one of my favorite GKC sayings: In order to be smart enough to accumulate all that money, you have to be dumb enough to want it (very rough quote). Monahan is a good man, but that kind of wealth can't help but warp a soul.
