When sin isn't condemned, it is encouraged. In this case, NYC schools have taken the position--consistent with public schools' moral agnosticism--that gay conduct isn't better or worse than heterosexual conduct. Neutral, right? Unfortunately, it appears the students aren't buying into it, so now the NYC schools will take the next step: actively protecting it, which is only a thin layer removed from encouraging it.
A city clampdown on gay-trashing in [NYC] public schools could have all teachers taking a one-day training course on how to combat harassment of gay and lesbian students, The Post has learned.
The session would cover how to recognize language offensive to gays, intervene in conflicts and advise heterosexual students on being more sensitive.
