Man, I was laughing pretty hard when I read this post at devout Catholic Domenico Bettinelli's blog:
That was the last straw for Amazon's book ads on this blog. The way it's supposed to work is that I give them keywords-- Catholic, Pope Benedict, Peter Kreeft, Scott Hahn, John Paul, etc.-- and the ads show books that incorporate those keywords. I have not enabled any other options within those ads.
Suddenly, however, Amazon has starting thinking it's Google's AdWords and now the ads are keying off of words found on the web page. So because I talked about homosexuality in the previous post, the Amazon ad started putting up ads for books about and by gays, including some salacious covers.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
