\*The book supports the growing body of research that shows the devastating effects of divorce, yet it's also a personal account: the author is the child of divorced parents.

\*Two-thirds of children of divorce say their home life was stressful (compared with only 25% of children from in tact homes).

\*Children from divorced homes in general tend to feel insecure and have a general feeling that something catastrophic is about to happen.
