This might be the best beer ad of the year. It's not often a beer advertisement provides an historical miniature. And I really like the name of the product. Link.

SkullSplitter is a Scottish strong ale with a distinctive flavor and a powerful kick (8.5 ABV), just as its namesake, Thorfinn Hausakluif (SkullSplitter), the Seventh Viking Earl of Orkney. The Orkney Islands lie off the northern tip of Scotland at latitude 60 North. For 600 years they were ruled by the Viking Earls who owed allegiance to Norse Kings. . .
SkullSplitter is a continuation of the Orcadian homebrewing tradition, its recipe being an amalgam of Island ingredients.
This powerful ale is named after Thorfinn Hausakluif, the 7th Viking Earl of Orkney - who lived and ruled around 950 AD. Although he lived and loved and fought amidst a violent way of life, he was sufficiently adept at surviving the perils of his precarious existence and died in his bed leaving five strong sons to meet a premature and not so peaceful end!
