Ghost Busters
I gotta believe Russell Kirk would enjoy this: South Jersey Ghost Research. It's an organization dedicated to investigating ghost claims. It's either a remarkably-elaborate fraud or really freaky. Link.
Excerpt from one investigation. I found the first two audio clips eerie, but the third one ("Look what you did") seemed fake. You decide (note: to listen to the audio links, you'll need to go to the SJGR site):
Since they moved into the home, the residents have heard footsteps moving around on the 2nd floor. They have also seen an apparition of young girl.
The SJGR investigators obtained a high level of physical evidence indicating spirit activity in the home. Of the photos taken during our investigation 8% of them contained energy orbs. There were also orbs caught on infrared video camera. The team recorded 24 EVP's. The SJGR team obtained 3 unexplainable readings on our stationary EMF meters which indicate a fluctuation in the electromagnetic field with no natural sources found. The sensitive investigators reported a lot of energy throughout the second floor and the stairwell leading to the attic. There were quite a few different spirit presences detected.
