Well, it would appear Bush has let down the pro-life movement with his pick, though no one knows for sure. This blurb at Southern Appeal seems to sum up the sentiment I'm reading across the blogosphere.

She was Catholic, now she's Evangelical. She was a Democrat, now she's Republican. She sounds like a swing justice alright, one without conviction that can be swayed. Bush had a chance to make a difference and I fear he has punted, just like his father did (I would say "fumbled," but I don't think Souter and Miers can be called "accidents").

Let's hope I'm wrong about all this.
