After the Atlanta shooting earlier this year, everyone was marvelling about the woman who convinced the shooter to surrender. She shared her faith with the shooter, along with advice from Rick Warren's The Purpose Driven Life. But she shared a little more:
Police said Nichols took Smith hostage in her apartment March 11, and she says she talked about her faith to persuade him to release her. In her book, she discloses that she also gave Nichols some methamphetamine, a detail she did not share with authorities at the time.
