Alright, I know nothing about fashion. It's intentional ignorance on my part; there's no reason to risk being accused of homosexuality. But I was interested to see that Gucci held a fashion show last night (apparently, a big deal of some sort) and the new Gucci designer has ditched the sex-obsession that marked Gucci during Tom Ford's reign. At least that's how I'm interpreting the two stories I saw this morning. It might be good news for folks like me who want a return to modesty. > Giannini admitted that while “Ford was obsessed with selling sex”, she wasn't. Judging by last night's collection, this couldn't have been more evident.

> For starters there was plenty more day-wear. Gone were the silk jersey, curve-clinging silhouettes and spike heels. Instead she gave us a dose of urban: woman dashing about town in (slim-fitting but not skintight) trouser suits and flats – yes, patent flats. Ruffle shirts with cut-out front panels had less of a sex-pot attitude and were far prettier and less aggressive than previously. The polished, perfect veneer had vanished too; some of the jackets even had creases, lending outfits a far sportier, more relaxed feel.
