Saturday

Well, I'll be danged. This is good news. Y'all remember Gerard Casey? If not, then you're not memorizing the names I've mentioned in TDE over the past three years. I blogged about Casey here. I've only heard him speak once, on a podcast, but it was perhaps the best speech I've heard. Anyway, he emailed me yesterday, notifying me that he has a new book coming out in September (and it's out already, for my millions of UK readers). It's Libertarian Anarchy and published by Continuum. The paperback is only $17.40 (the hardback is $80, thereby establishing the greatest spread between binding prices in the history of publishing). When not reading about gardening and Catholicism, libertarianism/anarchy is still the focal point of my reading, so I'll be checking this out. I'm always looking for fellow Catholic travelers in this largely-unsung field of political philosophy.

That's it for today. Things are extraordinarily busy at work. By the end of today, I will have logged in 60+ hours at the office this week. Fifty hour weeks aren't unusual, but 60? I only hit that mark once a year or so.
