# Dad on the Run

My weekends now that I have four children in sports, some day this will be me:

Sung to the tune of *Band on the Run*:

Well, the van ignited with my copper key  
 As I drove into the sun,  
 And my first son said to my second son there  
 I hope your game was fun.  
 Dad on the run, dad on the run.

And the soccer man and neighbor Sam  
 Were searching everyone  
 For the dad on the run, dad on the run  
 Dad on the run, dad on the run.

Well, my wearied wife drew a heavy sigh  
 Seeing I had failed to come,  
 And a bell was ringing in the soccer field,  
 For the kids to come and run.

And the soccer man and neighbor Sam  
 Were searching everyone  
 For the dad on the run, dad on the run  
 Dad on the run, dad on the run.

Well, the beers were draining as the sporting world  
 Began to settle down.  
 In the town they're searching for me every where  
 But I never will be found

 And my bartender with a hefty tab  
 Will serve a few more
