Honest Men Need Not Apply
It must be a requirement: Once you turn 70, you start speaking your mind, and you don't give a rip what people think. Nock did it, and he was quickly labeled anti-Semitic (right before the Nazi atrocities hit full steam, which didn't help Nock's matters). So did the seventy-something G.B. Shaw and H.G. Wells. There have been a few others lately, although I can't recall their names right now (forgive this forgetful blogger).
And now it's Pat Buchanan. He has said what, I suspect, many white people think: America was built by white Christians, and white Christians won't be in charge much longer, so things don't look good (that, anyway, is the summary I've reached from this article).
I like Buchanan, but my knee-jerk reaction is to disagree with him. Whites built this country, yes, but whites are doing just fine at tearing it down. They don't need help from the minorities to continue the raping and pillaging by the East Coast elites that suck off middle America's wealth. The cultural decay is a concern, yes, but even that starts at the top, as laid down, step by logical step, by Hans- Hermann Hoppe in Democracy, the God that Failed.
But it's too bad that a person can't speak his mind without losing his job, and that's what has happened to Buchanan. MSNBC fired him, apparently because of his "outdated" and "bigoted" ideas. That's absurd, and it's a shame. If Buchanan expresses concerns about racial issues, he's expressing them honestly. If people aren't allowed to do that any more (and, of course, they're not), things are only going to get worse.
Late Night
"Someone set 53 cars on fire over three days. Police were looking for a Caucasian man with a ponytail. Police should always be looking for a Caucasian man with a ponytail." Kimmel
A recent study found that cheese is healthier to eat than butter. In response, Americans were like, 'Just to be safe, I better eat both.'" Fallon
