Nothing says "Merry Christmas" like a Pabst. Or at least six Pabsts.

I'd heard years ago that you weren't allowed to mail booze through the U.S. Post Office, but I thought it was just an old lawyer's wives tale, like the one that says people on bikes are subject to all the same traffic rules as car drivers. I run into such things all the time, but in this case, it looks like it's true, since [lawmakers are looking to rescind the ban in order to help keep the Post Office in the black](http://thecelebritycafe.com/feature/politicians-think-beer-and-wine-can-help-post-office-12-14-2011?ref=thedailyeudemon.com). I say, "yeah." FedEx delivers booze. Why not the USPO? Regular TDE readers know I loathe the federal government, but of all the branches, I mind the Post Office the least. For such a monstrosity of an institution, they (in my experience) do a pretty decent job.

That's it for blogging today. My apologies for the one-story-and-out approach this week. The holiday blitz is in full swing around my house. I'm lucky if I have time to get drunk, much less write about getting drunk.

I hope your holidays are going well.
