# Internet Growth Finally Slows Down

> [A new report](http://www.telegeography.com/ee/free%5Fresources/pdf/gig06%5Fexec%5Fsumm.pdf?ref=thedailyeudemon.com) from [TeleGeography](http://www.telegeography.com/products/gig/index.php?ref=thedailyeudemon.com) shows that "global cross-border internet traffic grew by just 49 percent in 2005, down from 103 percent in 2004." In rich countries, it looks like most of the people who want broadband already have it. The next big growth spurt should come when the mobile Internet finally gets into gear. Mobility will change not only the numbers, but also the very nature of the Internet--and blogging.
