Russian police called out after complaints of loud music and rowdy singing found the noise was coming from a local church.

Officers arrived at the building in Moscow's Textiltschiki district to hear shouts of "Hallelujah" and "Amen" as well as hymns coming from inside the evangelical religious centre.

But residents of apartments adjoining the hall said they had had enough of the vociferous worshipping.
