So what's the plan for this generation we are raising now, or starting to raise? Get our two or three my-own-room kids grown and out of the house so we can make room for our toys? Or can we learn from the past that heroic sacrifices have no better home than a house where children have to share spaces and where someone uses up the hot water? That the elderly belong in at the heart of the home, along with the new baby?
