Tuesday Miscellany

A friend took over my son's little league team this year, thereby leaving me free to spend some time with my other kids. So last night, I trekked an hour to my daughter's Varsity soccer game. I didn't get back until late, so blogging is light today. Just a few things: R. Emmett Tyrrell raises an interesting point: Since 1972, the Democrats have only run "chronic campaigners." He says Obama's prompt announcement is consistent with the way Democrats have campaigned since McGovern: tireless campaigning, with little attention to governing. It contains compounds that might help manage Type 2 diabetes, as well as acting as anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory agents. Try [the Affinia 50](http://www.affinia.com/New-York-City-Hotel.aspx?name=Affinia-50&ref=thedailyeudemon.com). It doesn't have a bar or elaborate health spa, but if you just want a clean place with a great staff and a good location at a reasonable rate, look no further. We rented a suite, and it was far larger than the suite we rented in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, three years ago. \* \* \* \* \* \* \* I've always wanted to read sci-fi, but could never develop a taste for it. No matter, this essay, [Friedrich Hayek and American Science Fiction](http://mises.org/daily/5167/Friedrich-Hayek-and-American-Science-Fiction?ref=thedailyeudemon.com), looks great. I've marked it for future reading.
