We didn't realize it, but the feds have passed regulations that will require miniature golf courses to be handicap-accessible: no hills, no obstacles. Specifically, the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board (an Orwellian moniker if ever there was one) issued a "final rule" in 2002 that "amends ADAAG (Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines) by adding a new "special application section for amusement rides, boating facilities, fishing piers and platforms, golf courses, miniature golf, sports facilities, and swimming pools and spas."
