Schiff and Black Friday Stories

If you didn't hear, Peter Schiff has a daily radio show now. Robert Higgs (featured here yesterday) appeared on the show Monday evening. Based on what I can discern, you can listen to the shows whenever you want, but if you want to be able to download them to your iPod, you have to pay $5 a month. It's not a bad price, but until I can start walking to work again (foot still bothering me), I can't listen to ten hours of radio shows every week in addition to the regular slate of podcasts I already listen to (EconTalk, The Lew Rockwell Show, Sunday Night Live (when it's available)). Anyway, the Peter Schiff Show website has some pretty cool stuff, so it's worth a visit, even if you're not going to listen to the radio show. * * * * * * * I tuned in last night for the last 25 minutes, and I caught the interview of Kelli Space, a 23-year-old girl who is attempting to escape $200,000 worth of student loans. The interview wasn't very hot. * * * * * * * Best article on the web yesterday: Nine Shocking Examples of Black Friday Violence. Complete with videos. * * * * * * * Some related Kimmel jokes: "President Obama took an elbow to the face last week and had to get 12 stitches. He was in line at Best Buy trying to get a $49 Blu-ray player" and "Black Friday is getting crazier every year. On Thanksgiving Thursday, we give thanks for the truly meaningful things, and then on Friday, we go out and stab each other to save $6.99 on a Nintendo DS."
