LOTR's Peter King has re-made King Kong. It comes out in December 2005. The trailer looks good. Link.
We hear a lot of complaining, but we like the re-makes. Some are horrible (we're not sure we can even bring ourselves to see The Freaky Androgyne and the Chocolate Factory), but most of them we've enjoyed.
