We're Back

The raid on Somalia was a success. Eric Scheske made it back home with seven treasures.

Truth be known, Eric wasn't in Somalia (shocker, shocker). He was in Houghton Lake, Michigan, a tourist resort area in central/northern Michigan (lower peninsula). The "seven treasures" refer to his children, all of whom were impeccably well-behaved (excepting the 23-month old Max and a few incidents with four-year old Meg), hence no need to strangle them in frustration (child-rights advocates, we're kidding; cut us some slack; we just got back a few hours ago and we're tired).

Regular blogging will resume later today. We appreciate your patronage when things slowed down. Unfortunately, it appears a fair number stayed away (overall visits dropped by about twenty percent, compared to the previous week). If you get a chance, send us an e-mail and tell us what you thought about the "off beat" fare we offered during the week.

Criticism won't hurt our feelings. We don't think the posts were very good, but we were in a pinch. Some of the posts were hopelessly serious and, well, stuffy. For that, we apologize. We'll try not to let it happen again.
