Ugly Is As Ugly Does

A man who rejects truth and goodness tends to hold the ugly in high esteem. If there are enough men like that walking around, we become a culture that holds the ugly in high esteem. As we become a culture that holds the ugly in high esteem, we become a culture that spends money and time buying and looking for ugly things. In a free market system like ours, the ugly then generates profits, which then fuels mass marketing to sell more ugliness, which feeds the appetite for ugliness, which generates profits, and so on.
