George Michael on finding "faith, faith, faith" for queers:

> George Michael has written a column in a magazine urging fellow gay men to embrace religion. . .

> "There really ought to be a campaign to make Henry VIII the patron saint of British queerdom.

> "Without his arrogance the English would still be Catholic, and we would probably have our own Mel Gibsons and Dubyas (George W Bush) to deal with (in England).

> "The lack of interest with which *The Passion Of The Christ* was greeted in England made me proud of my country (for the first time in a while), and if that sounds excessive, bear in mind I'd been in Texas when it was released stateside.

> "Between that and the hysteria over gay marriage at the time, it was an unsettling few weeks to be in America."

No one accuses the "religious right" of embracing religion as a political measure. If nothing else, R-squared is sincere (indeed, that's why they're feared by secularists: they're allegedly "fanatics"). But here a famous homosexual advocates religion as a defensive political measure, which, if embraced, would no doubt become an offensive political measure to further their celebration of homo-erotic sex. All things in the homosexual camp are subordinated to their sexual pursuits. The more we see and read, the more that fundamental truth becomes obvious.
