It wasn't just the blatant blend of church and state that made the gathering in Fort Worth unusual. Advance publicity also attracted about 300 angry protesters--unheard of for the routine business of ceremonial bill signings.

We haven't followed this story closely, but our gut reaction: What was this guy thinking? We don't need to provide fodder for the Separation fanatics who can't tell the difference between a religious tax on the Dhimmi and printing "In God We Trust" on our currency.
