Wrong Confessional

A top German lawyer has handed himself into police and confessed to being responsible for a string of bank robberies that netted £250,000.

The 41-year-old also admitted a range of swindles and cons carried out from his legal practice based in Muenster, Germany - most involving clients' money.

Police however say they are puzzled as to why the lawyer decided to come clean, as he had not even been under suspicion.

Maybe his priest made him come clean or maybe the weight of sin weighed so heavily on his conscience that he had to unburden himself.

Or maybe he was drunk.
