Blogger Book Game
This has been flying around the Catholic blogosphere for awhile. On Nothing tagged us (thanks, man), so we'll play along, though we honestly don't know who to tag at this point since all the blogs we read have already played. We're guessing the game is about over, but hey, whoever started it had a heckuva good run.
1. Total Number of Books I've Owned
Eric Scheske owns about 2,000 books. Because he rarely throws any away, this is a fair estimate of the total lifetime amount.
2. Last Book I Bought
Steven Johnson's Everything Bad is Good For You. Eric also ordered a few books by Thomas Woods, but they haven't shipped yet. (Amazon, quite frankly, has been absolutely horrible lately about getting books shipped. Anyone else have a problem with them?)
3. Last Book I Read
Neil Postman's Technopoly, and Johnson's book is almost finished.
4. Five Books That Mean a Lot to Me
James Schall, Another Sort of Learning
E. F. Schumacher, A Guide for the Perplexed
G.K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy
Henry Veatch, Aristotle, A Contemporary Appreciation
Etienne Gilson, Reason and Revelation in the Middle Ages.
