Dakotans Calling PETA Out

Sentinel chickens will be used throughout North Dakota as a warning system for West Nile virus, the state Health Department says.
The chickens act as bait for mosquitoes that may be carrying West Nile.
About 80 chickens will be placed at eight sites throughout the state, said Tracy Miller, the manager of the Health Department's West Nile virus surveillance program.
