Today Baltimore's Cardinal William Keeler informed Loyola College of Maryland interim president David Haddad that the Cardinal refuses to participate in an event honoring Rudolph Giuliani, an advocate of abortion rights and probable Republican candidate for U.S. president in 2008.

Good for the Cardinal. Why should the Democrats get all the abuse (well, because they have the baby abusers, but you get the point)? Let the Republican Party abortion battle begin. As the Catholic Church chastises members of both parties, the NARAL (is that a whale?) whining that the Church is meddling in politics will lose even more credibility.
